FTTH Council President Joseph Savage NFOC '09 Keynote Speaker

Joseph Savage
FIS is pleased to announce that Joseph Savage will be the Keynote Speaker of the 2009 Northeast Fiber Optic Conference (NFOC). Mr. Savage is President of the Fiber-to-the-Home Council, North America.

Mr. Savage’s speech will kick off the first day of the NFOC on October 7th. His presentation will provide an insightful look at recent developments in Fiber to the Home, particularly regarding how the growth of FTTH is impacting in the marketplace and the daily lives of consumers.

His presentation will include information regarding global and national status of FTTH deployments; community benefits from having FTTH infrastructure; effects of FTTH on sustainable behaviors; and marketplace advantages of operating over a FTTH network.

Talk About Perfect Timing!

According to FIS President Frank Giotto, “We are extremely fortunate to have Joe as our Keynote Speaker at NFOC, particularly at this point in time. He is coming to the NFOC within days of the FTTH Council’s own conference, which is focused to a large extent on fiber’s role in the U.S. Stimulus Package as it pertains to Broadband and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. I can’t think of a more timely issue or a better person than Joe to provide insight into this topic.

“The 2009 FTTH Conference and Expo takes place September 27 thru October 1, 2009 in Houston TX. The NFOC begins just six days later, on October 7 & 8. The timing couldn’t be better to have Joe share is fresh perspectives on these issues with our guests at the NFOC.”
